Moca bridge11/25/2023 ![]() In this example the ethernet signal from an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) is connected to the ethernet port of the first WiP7001. The example below illustrates the installation of the WiP7001 and the WiP7500 WiFi Access Point (AP). ![]() Typical IPTV Installation with both wired and WiFi ICB Typical CATV Installation with both wired and WiFi ICBThe illustration below shows that you can mix the wired ICB (WiP7001) and WiFi ICB (WiP7500) together to distribute the ethernet, internet, WiFi and CATV channels over coax cable. The example below does not show the "TV" port from the WiP7001 connected to the CATV's cable receiver that is then connected to a TV to access the CATV TV channel subscriptions. The effect is to create a "wired mesh network" that delivers the highest available bandwidth plus the CATV signal over the coax cable. The "Ethernet+TV" coax port from the ICB is also connected to the first bi-directional coax splitter the coax splitter is then connected via coax cable to another bi-directional coax splitter and then to other ICB that can be connected to Smart TVs, computers, set-top-boxes, or ethernet routers and WiFi Access Points for distribution of wired and wireless internet signals. Typical CATV Installation of WiP7001The example below shows the CATV's service coax cable connected to a splitter and then to the CATV's cable modem that is connected to a WiP7001 "Ethernet" and coax "TV Only" ports. See the WiP8001 Internet Coax Bridge if you have DirecTV. These ICB were designed to work with cable TV, cable internet, and fiber optic networks, such as FiOS. The WiP7001 ICB has point-to-multipoint capabilities and can be used to extend the internet from your source to other rooms in the house that do not have internet or have a weak WiFi signal the WiFi signal can be extended by connecting a WiFi Access Point, such as the WiP7500 WiFi Access Point. The coax cable can carry the highest bandwidth that you are getting from your internet and cable TV provider and it is preferred over using ethernet cable for ease of installation and higher bandwidth capacity. ![]() The WiP7001 ICB allows you to send the ethernet signal that includes high-speed internet over the same coax cable that carries the Cable TV (CATV) or Over-the-Air (OTA) channels that is already installed in your home or building. The WiP8001 is compatible with DirecTV signals. The wi3 patented WiP7001 Internet Coax Bridge (ICB) is a bi-directional media converter that is "plug-and-play" and is compatible with Cable TV (CATV) and free over-the-air (OTA) Digital TV Broadcast signals. We have two coaxial bridges, one is for cable TV and the other is for DirecTV satellite systems. Send both ethernet and TV signals using the same coax cable with our wi3 Ethernet/Internet Coax Bridge.
